1. Confirm the equipment that needs softened water

Start by listing the connected equipment, such as an electric steam generator, boiler feed-water point, washing equipment, cleaning line, or other production use. Note whether the softener supports one machine or several machines, and whether those machines operate at the same time.

2. Share raw-water hardness and source details

Hardness is the key starting point for a softening discussion. If a recent water report is available, send it with the inquiry. If not, share the water source, any known hardness or scaling issues, visible sediment concerns, and whether filtration, RO equipment, or other pretreatment is already installed.

3. Define flow demand and operating schedule

Buyers should provide required flow per hour, daily working hours, peak-use periods, and whether production can tolerate regeneration downtime. A simplex or duplex arrangement should be discussed by project requirements, not selected only by a general model name.

4. Review regeneration and salt-handling conditions

Water softeners usually require regeneration planning. Confirm space for the brine tank, salt storage, drainage, operating responsibility, and whether the site team can follow routine checks. Regeneration settings and service intervals should be confirmed with raw-water and application details.

5. Site and quotation information to include

• Application and connected equipment list.

• Required flow, daily working hours, and peak-use pattern.
