Industrial reverse osmosis system maintenance should be managed with routine records, not only emergency repair notes. A simple operation log helps overseas operators describe the site condition clearly when asking for service support, spare parts, or quotation review.
1. Daily operating information to record
Keep a basic record of start time, stop time, operating hours, feed-water condition, product-water flow, reject-water flow, and any visible alarms or shutdowns. If instruments are available, record the values shown on the control panel or gauges. Use the same units every day so trends are easier to compare.
2. Pressure and flow trend checks
RO system pressure and flow readings should be reviewed as trends. A single number may not explain the cause of a problem, but a change compared with normal operation can help identify whether pretreatment, cartridge filters, membranes, pumps, valves, or operating settings need review by the project team.
3. Pretreatment and cartridge filter notes
Pretreatment is selected by project requirements, so the log should match the actual site configuration. Record backwash or regeneration work, softener salt condition if used, activated-carbon or filtration observations if used, cartridge filter replacement date, and any unusual color, odor, sediment, or pressure-drop change.
4. Water-quality observations
If the site has meters or test methods, record available conductivity, TDS, hardness, pH, or other project-specific values. Do not rely on assumptions when water quality changes. If no instruments are available, record visible changes and arrange testing when the treated-water application requires closer control.
5. Service support information to prepare
- RO system application and target treated-water use.
- Raw-water source and the latest water-quality report if available.
- Daily operation hours, flow readings, pressure readings, and alarms.
- Pretreatment equipment condition and cartridge filter replacement history.
- Photos or short videos of gauges, control panel, pipelines, and drain flow.
- Destination country, voltage, installation date if known, and requested support scope.

For maintenance review or quotation on request, send the operation log, raw-water details, treated-water use, site photos, and service questions. Liangpu can then review the available information and confirm what additional details are needed for the project.
