For an overseas reverse osmosis water-treatment project, a useful quotation starts with application and raw-water details, not only with a requested machine name. The checklist below helps buyers prepare the information normally needed before a supplier can discuss a configuration selected by project requirements.
1. Application and treated-water use
State where the treated water will be used, such as food processing, cleaning, rinsing, boiler feed-water pretreatment, workshop process water, or pure-water preparation. If the RO system will support more than one use, list each use separately and note whether they operate at the same time.
2. Raw-water information
Share the water source, such as municipal water, well water, surface water, or another supply. If available, include a recent water-quality report with TDS, hardness, turbidity, iron, manganese, chlorine, and microbiological indicators. If no report is available, provide the source, location, visible water condition, and any known treatment already installed.
3. Required output and operating schedule
Confirm the required treated-water output per hour or per day, the number of working hours, and whether the process needs continuous or batch operation. For export quotation on request, this information is more useful than asking for a fixed model without describing the actual water demand.
4. Pretreatment and downstream equipment
RO systems are normally discussed with pretreatment and downstream storage or distribution requirements. Depending on raw-water condition and application, the project may need filtration, softening, dosing, storage tanks, pumps, or additional pure-water steps. These items should be confirmed with raw-water and application details before final selection.
5. Installation and utility conditions
- Available voltage, phase, frequency, and site electrical capacity.
- Installation-room size, access route, floor condition, and drainage.
- Feed-water pressure and whether a feed pump is available.
- Space for pretreatment, RO equipment, tanks, and maintenance access.
- Destination country and any import documentation requirements already known to the buyer.
6. Information to send with an RO inquiry
- Application and target treated-water use.
- Required output per hour or per day.
- Raw-water source and water-quality report if available.
- Current pretreatment equipment, if any.
- Voltage, installation space, drainage, and operating schedule.
- Preferred quotation scope, such as RO system only or matched pretreatment plus RO.
